Hi Leo,

The site is not allowing new registrations, so the only way I can reply to your response to my original question is by posting a new question!

First, thank you very much for your detailed response to my question about metal shingles. I will get pricing on the Edco and Tamko brands and cross Matterhorn off my list.

Here are links to images of my plans:

The main living area is about 2150 SF (gross), and the garage adds another 1000 SF. The total roof area is about 46 squares. I count 10 hips, 5 valleys, and 4 ridges. I plan to minimize the number of protrusions through the roof, preferably down to just one chimney-like structure centered on a ridge, which will contain all plumbing vents (joined to a single stack), the radon vent, and the various bathroom and kitchen exhaust fan outlets.

The siding will be stucco in an earth-tone color, so a wood-tone shake- or shingle-style metal shingle should look good. I will have to get samples of the Tamko slate or AstonWood styles, as well as the Edco styles, and compare them.

Thanks again for your help, Leo.

Peter
